A glimpse into my life as I see it through sensory perceptions

p.s. thanks.

This past weekend was a good break, a teaser if you will. It was great seeing family, and friends for a little. For Thanksgiving, we have our family tradition of going around saying what we’re thankful for. And it always puts a little perspective as to what am I thankful for, and what should I really be thankful for.

Simply, I’m thankful for life, love, family, and friends.

As much as we yearn for more exciting lives, we should at least be thankful for living the lives we do have. I may not live the coolest, craziest life, but it would be one that millions of people would give the world for, and for that, I am thankful. Many times, I take this life for granted and don’t make the most of it. But having this thought in the back of my mind will remind me to do my best in what I do.

Love comes in all forms, and I’m thankful to have it, and to give it. I love my family, I love my friends, I love my dogs, I love living in California, I love PCE. I am happy to be where I am in my life right now. It’s weird to imagine it any other way.

I hadn’t seen my family in what feels like forever, since I’ve been really busy with school. I’m always thankful that we can all be together for the holidays since everyone doesn’t live close to each other anymore. It’s always a fun time with family, whether it’d be pigging out, watching movies, making fun of each other, family stuff. Good thing Christmas is around the corner.

I grateful for the friends I’ve made, and kept. You meet a lot of people in your life, and only a few will remain for a good while. I’m glad to have kept friendships strong, especially those from 1st/2nd grade. That’s a good chunk of my life to have known them. But there are even those whom you haven’t know that long, but have built a great connection with them. It’s cliche, but you know those friends whom you haven’t seen in a long time but when you do its like time never passed? yeah.

thanks, life.
